Racy L. Haddad has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Ms. Haddad’s diverse real estate and construction law practice includes complex cases involving commercial and residential acquisitions, development, leasing, real estate brokerage, real estate finance, title issues, disposition of property, and construction law. Ms. Haddad is broadly experienced in private law firm practice as well as having a career in real estate brokerage prior to becoming an attorney. Her immense success in her own business translates to a genuine value proposition for her clients who receive guidance from a real estate professional, talented litigator, and a CEO focused on business and individual profitability. Ms. Haddad’s extensive background related to property issues has also allowed her to focus directly in the areas of asset protection and estate planning. Ms. Haddad routinely drafts estate plans for her clients including wills, trusts, general powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, advance directives and Hipaa authorizations.
Prior to founding Haddad Legal Group, Ms. Haddad was an equity shareholder in the Houston firm of Spain Chambers, which is now known as Baker Donelson, managing their Austin office. In her first two years there she developed a book of new business for the firm worth over $1.5 million accounting for a significant practice in real estate and construction law. Thereafter, Ms. Haddad served as Senior Counsel with the Austin entrepreneurial firm of Moster Wynne Ressler further developing her real estate and litigation practice. Prior to her legal career in Austin, Ms. Haddad, with her law partner Amira Al-Alami, built her own practice from the ground up in Lubbock, Texas. Their firm, Haddad and Al-Alami, PLLC was featured in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal article entitled “All-female law firm a sign of the times,” focusing on the diversity and success of her legal education and career as a female shareholder.
Continue Reading BioMs. Haddad is a former real estate licensee with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and has been an approved TREC Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) Instructor in the area of Real Estate Marketing and Legal and Real Estate Ethics. Ms. Haddad has also been a participant in the Texas Land Title School and has been a licensed Escrow Officer with the Texas Department of Insurance.
Ms. Haddad is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section and the Austin Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all district courts in Texas and has been admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Ms. Haddad received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law. Ms. Haddad is originally from El Paso, Texas and has a love for all parts of Texas, but is partial to Austin and her hometown of El Paso. She is bilingual and speaks Spanish fluently.
